Relief India Trust: The Trust You Can Rely on!

Like many other NGOs, Relief India Trust Wiki claims to provide better lifestyles for the poor and needy. But what makes it special? What makes it different from others? What makes the trust make you believe that they truly are working with all their heart and soul of the poor Indian society and the poverty stricken? What makes you make your donations to the Relief India Trust Wiki? Well, it is nothing but the confidence India Trust has taken us into. The Relief India Trust Noida makes us rely on the fact that they genuinely embrace high respect for humanity and that they have solely devoted their self in helping the poor and are determined to enhance civil society's role. Relief India Trust proves their point by practicing their ideas and rather than merely talking about them.
The Trust has been campaigning all around the country to spread awareness about the power of education. They distribute free books to the poor and education at primary, secondary and higher secondary level. Not just this, but ensures proper physical and psychological fitness among the general public, especially the poor as they are deprived of even the basic necessities of life. They distribute free clothing and medicines too in the remote villages of India. It is a sad fact but in such areas the people living are even deprived of clean water. This results in spreading of diseases; diseases like AIDS/HIV, cancer and TB that are deadly at some point. The RIT provides suitable medication and awareness about such diseases. Awareness camps include awareness about their prevention and treatment. The poor are alerted about the common and in season diseases and are provided with the best possible solutions for the disease prevention. Moreover, the campaigns held by the Relief India Trust Wiki have professionals who educate the poor about various glitches. Their confusions are completely solved; this, along with a friendly environment. This is the reason RIT is popular enough that it doesn't spend any money on their advertisement. They would rather spend the money in their campaigns and education facilities.
Disability check-up camps, blood donation camps, organ donation camps and whatnot! The RIT ensures providing every basic necessity of life as well as respite to the poor. They realize that the poor communities of India are not only deprived of medical and educational supplies but they lack self-esteem, confidence and courage to once again stand up for their rights. The Relief India Trust Wiki provides them this confidence, trust and retriggers their self-esteem.
To all the people wondering where to donate their funds and where they can contribute to help the poor, Relief India Trust Wiki certainly is the best option. The Trust's core objective is reshaping lives; reshaping the lives of the poor and the helpless, the poor who had unfortunately lost their hope to restart their life in a better way. The Relief India Trust Wiki is determined to provide them facilities of types in an appropriate manner with the help of funds and donations!

Volunteer's Involvement in Relief India Trust

Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity and is intended to improve the quality of life without financial gain. Volunteers constitute 95% of the workforce required in humanitarian work undertaken by organizations like Relief India Trust Wiki.
Volunteers can help bring about change in children's lives and address issues pertaining challenges faced by underprivileged children in the society. Individuals focused on bringing about this change can join hands with Relief India Trust Wiki as volunteers.
For those interested in this noble cause, they can get in touch with the trust's volunteer action coordinators based on the various cities in India. They then will get invited to volunteer orientation meetings to familiarize themselves with the trust's actions and get to know the trust better. In so doing the interested parties get to know what they can do as Relief India Trust Wiki volunteers.
Volunteer work in the trust is a matter of personal commitment to bring about the much needed change. The program is flexible in nature and individuals get to decide when to work, where to work and what to do. There are no fixed hours but most of the activities take place during the weekends. Those that are employed or in school can work when it is convenient for them. Professionals are more than welcome to use their talents and skills in impacting children's lives. Lawyers, doctors, teachers, entertainers and all other professions can make a whole lot of difference in this cause. All that is required is the willingness to engage and contribute to the campaign positively in line with Relief India Trust Wiki agenda. This is a group effort and solitary action is not encouraged.
Volunteer work is not for any financial gain. Therefore Relief India Trust Wiki will not pay for the services offered, however, the trust may reimburse work related expenses. To the individuals who make time for such a cause much more is gained. The knowledge and skill gained during this work does a lot more value addition to the individuals. Virtue is cultivated, like perseverance, compassion and resilience, things that money cannot buy. Letters of acknowledgement and, or certificates are given by the trust to individuals who have been engaged in active volunteer work for a year or more. This is if the certificates are required.
Relief India Trust Wiki is committed to ensuring children's rights permanently. This means influencing the relevant institutions that can make this be realized. Volunteer opinion influences the government and the campaigns change public opinion. The volunteers can help bring about changes in the system and make the entire system more effective in service delivery, like having more teachers in schools, having more doctors and nurses. It is all about voicing the right opinions and building enough pressure to bring about the change and make a difference. The main driving force in every volunteer should be; bring about permanent change in the lives of children, address the root cause behind children right violation, how this can be dealt with and eventually making the state more accountable for children's rights.
All this effort may take time but the change it brings about is permanent and positive.

The Relief India Trust Thalassemia Project

Thalassemia is a blood condition that is inherited in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. This leads to the destruction of the red blood cells and causes anemia. Thalassemia is caused when there is a defect in the gene that controls the production of either of the two proteins that form hemoglobin. Sadly this disease is rampant in countries populated by Africans and Asians. It is this knowledge that made Thalassemia a subject of major concern to the Relief India Trust Wiki.
Children born with Thalassemia are normal at birth but develop anemia during the first year of growth. Other symptoms include; bone deformities in the face, fatigue, growth failure, shortness of breath and yellow skin. This renders the children unable to lead normal lives. This also makes it an area of concern for Relief India trust who are focused on the plight of children and fighting disability. The organization carries out physical examination for children to establish if they are victims. Mutational analysis is also carried out to the patients. The patients are then referred to esteemed medical facilities for medication and where possible Relief India Trust Wiki may handle the cases.
Treatment of Thalassemia mainly involves regular blood transfusion. The good news is that Relief India Trust Wiki is actively involved in blood donation exercises which make the much needed blood available for this project. Another mode of treatment is the use of iron supplements. These supplements are also supplied to schools and hospitals by the Relief India Trust Wiki. It is recommended that those having blood transfusions should not take the supplements as they can build up in the body and thus cause poisoning. The patients receiving therapy receive a treatment called chelating therapy that helps remove excess iron from the blood. Severe Thalassemia causes early deaths at an average of 20 to 30 years. Getting regular blood transfusion and therapy to remove excess iron from the body helps to improve the outcome. The organization ensures that therapists are available to carry out this all important exercise. Untreated Thalassemia may cause heart failure and liver symptoms and make a person more likely to develop infections.
On the prevention front, Relief India Trust Noida actively carries out genetic counseling to couples while offering possible alternatives and solutions; prenatal screening is also done for pregnant women in a bid to curb the disease in its formative stages. Proper measures can be put into place to avoid child loss during birth as this disease causes still births.
Relief India Trust Noida organ donation awareness campaign has a role to play in Thalassemia treatment. Bone marrow transplants are also helpful in the treatment of this disease and potential donors are found during these organ donation campaigns.
Through therapeutic intervention, blood transfusion, early diagnosis and treatment individuals have been given a chance to lead a normal life and become more productive citizens. Iron supplements continue to be rolled out strategically to reach those who need them but cannot afford them. All this calls for manpower, expertise and financial intervention. It is therefore an appeal by Relief India Trust Wiki to willing donors and volunteers to come out in support of this noble cause.

Organ donation is also an activity covered by this organization through creating awareness and getting people to donate organs to save lives. The trust is actively engaged in the distribution of preventive and curative medicine, mosquito nets and sanitary pads to those who require them. Rehabilitation of street children and children who are mentally impaired is a major objective of the Relief India trust. Through these services Relief India Trust has been able to ensure a better standard of living for those people it works with. The government has been made more accountable to service provision to the citizenry.

The Gifted Hands of Relief India Trust

Sorrow calls for aid and tenderness and not curiosity. Loving tenderness of those familiar with the suffering, the cause and the possible solutions and they are willing and able to give it unreservedly. Such is the medical team by the Relief India Trust Wiki.
What make these wonderful individuals extraordinary is their compassion, modesty, and sensitivity. Compassion is the understanding of the suffering of the patients these medics encounter, that moves them to action, all else put aside to make sure the patients get the best. In forgetting themselves entirely in the sorrows of others, they emancipate others from the very sorrow and suffering. The modesty and work ethic makes them effective in every case they handle. Sensitivity to the special needs of the patients at required times makes it even more possible to deal with the challenges. These values apparently are the epitome and the fundamental principles of the Relief India Trust organization service delivery. It is the only way in this course that can really prevail.
Love, faith and hard work overcome seemingly impossible odds that are a reality in this line of work. The love that the medical personnel have for their work and the individuals they treat is their motivation and driving force. The feeling that this honor is brought to them by the Giver of life, they draw their faith that the giver of life is also the giver of their skill and thus they work selflessly and tirelessly for that very honor.
Much has been achieved by the Relief India Trust through this team. Organ donations have become effective and streamline activity. The team, which is growing in number makes sure organs, is available, the patients are prepared properly and that the transplants are successful. These doctors make sure that there is a good donor recipient relationship and understanding by creating a good environment for the whole exercise. More people have been sensitized on the importance of organ donation and receipt.
Medical milestones have been achieved by bridging the gap between the doctor and the patient. Those treated have their progress monitored, response to medication is checked and counseling is given where necessary. This is through building of trust and creating a friendly environment for the patient doctor relationship. More and more people have understood and appreciated the importance of seeking medical help and shunning traditional beliefs about the disease.
Quality medical services have now been brought to the doorsteps of many and made freely accessible to those who would have afforded it. The medical camp program made possible by the Relief India Trust NGO is effective as it ensures all regions are covered. The mobility and resources provided by this organization are the core reason why this is possible.
Disease prevention is now successful in many parts of India. This has been possible through awareness camps. The populace is educated on the various diseases and the causes. Various prevention measures are given to make sure much time and resources are not wasted in curing what could have been prevented.

The Celestial - The Relief India Trust

A heavenly, innocent being; born to survive the hardships, the struggles, and the harsh tyrant world. He doesn't know about the monsterly environment he is going to grow up in, he doesn't know what laborious, troublesome times he has to go through in his upcoming life. He doesn't know. He doesn't have the slightest idea of what his fate is going to be. For a child, born in the dirty little streets, sure as heck, he needs a support, some backing, someone to tell him he is not alone; and, someone to provide a skimpy relief, if not much. He deserves that support. And what do we have? A miserable world, full of egoistic narcissists... Who could possibly stand up for other' rights? I won't say there is no one. There are the unselfish, the greathearted ones. Yes, there exist some angelic beings, too. Making this world a better place for the homeless and for the dirty kids around the street (as the elite class might perceive them); There is 'Relief India Trust NGO'.
One might have his jaw drop in a survey of the statistics of the needy people. They are the deserved ones; the ones we don't even bother talking about, the ones we don't see the real side of. It's tragic how unaware we are of our very own neighboring kid's conditions. But 'Relief India Trust' provides a platform for better understanding of the lives of such kids. Relief India Trust is a nonprofit organization, an NGO working merely for humanity. Relief India Trust doesn't only facilitate and educate the uneducated ones - the poor living in the lumber, about the deadliest diseases like AIDS, cancer and HIV by running campaigns all around the country, but it provides education, free of cost, at primary, secondary and higher secondary levels. The Trust also provides financial assistance to the victims of natural calamities like, flood, war, and earthquake. They assist them in providing food, clothing and medication.

Relief India Trust is a heavenly organization in India working peacefully and purely for the betterment of the country, as a whole. They alleviate the poor children living the slums financially, educationally and socially. Just like the general efforts provided by the typical NGOs running in the country, Relief India Trust feels pain of the needy. It fits itself in their shoes and tries mollifying them in the best implementable forms possible.
But then, helping the society is not a solitary act. One has to have a team to actually provide better circumstances and environment to breathe in for the rest of the needy one's lives. There comes the idea of donating. There are various organ donation awareness camps, blood donation camps and the free study material distribution camps running all over the country. Not just the material but Relief India Trust takes all types of donations made by the general public. So, if someone doesn't only believe in talking but implementing and practicing, in reality, an effort to do - actually do something for the Indian society; they donate material or money - anything, to 'Relief India Trust'.

For a country to realize democracy, the people must be able to voice their opinions to the government. Relief India Trust PAN is working with other stakeholders in ensuring that there are clear channels of communication where the people can express themselves to the government and at the same get feedback and access to information and public records. The trust focuses in freedom and pluralism in information; capacity strengthening,; networking and elevation of the standard of the media at national and local levels; raising awareness on rights to information and strengthening communication mechanisms for vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Relief India Trust: The Ray of Hope

In times of despair and need, many hearts are broken and in need of a touch of care and a beacon of hope. The Relief India Trust NGO has been one of the fore running nonprofit making organizations in India to come into the bigger picture in the landscape of philanthropy. Through many of the programs tailored to reach out and change millions of lives across India, this has been significantly realized.
By lending out a helping hand, the Relief India Trust through its tailor made effective programs has been able to end suffering, prevent deaths, to better standards of living and give hope to children who would otherwise have had no chance at life

Many ills in the society occur due to ignorance and lack of knowledge in the masses. The Relief India Trust NGO has been keen to create forums and platforms to deal with this. In so doing people are awakened to taking responsibility and to put into good use the capacity and resources available to them in tackling the challenges faced by them and their loved ones. Knowledge is light and truth sets free the captives of the ignorant. Just by knowing the enemy within and how best you can face this enemy is a big step toward finding solutions to a myriad of problems. The Relief India Trust has been keen to provide this powerful weapon of knowledge and awareness.

Rehabilitation

Through various rehabilitation centers conveniently set up by Relief India Trust, many individuals in need of these programs have been nurtured to become lovable and productive members of the society. With proper care and attention many individuals commonly labeled as good for nothings and social misfits have found stability and harmony of self. Mental delinquency due to neglect, birth defects and even drug abuse has been alienated from the society through these rehabilitation programs.

Medical outreach

Lack of access to medical facilities and services has been a major challenge over the centuries and in the world over. The Relief India Trust has been on the forefront in providing medical services to the unreached areas of India. Through medical camps that offer diagnosis, free check up, treatment, medication and admittance of special cases, many have benefited to what would otherwise be a luxury to them. The response and turn-out to these camps has been improved from time to time due to the awareness created and the apparent benefits the beneficiaries witness. Training is given to volunteer health workers who carry on the spirit of the organization. First aid and emergency response skills are imparted to various individuals within the populace, who respond to various situations like emergency births and minor accidents. Disease prevention is also taught. Proper hygiene as a way of disease prevention has been of great importance in battling communicable diseases that have been, in the past, a grim reaper in India. The medical panel at relief India trust has been outstanding in service delivery at every front.

Funfair

It has been said that a cheerful heart is a medicine to the bones. The Relief India Trust NGO has realized the importance of play in the healing process. In this light the organization is keen on organizing parties for children where they can get together and have fun. The parties are not complete without competitions where children get to learn new things and even discover talents that would have otherwise have remained latent due to lack of exposure. These parties also play a big role in creating a sense of belonging and identity. Through bonding and love shared a sense of family is created and hence beneficiaries are more apt to look out for each other thus the society is strengthened, crime and vice is also reduced. Confidence is an important psychological aspect that is also gained in these funfairs and individual sure seen to come out more boldly in dealing with challenges. Relief India Trust in the Fight Against Malaria

The malaria pandemic occurs in nearly 100 countries and affects 200 million people with 655,000 deaths annually in the world. This pandemic imposes heavy social and economic burden in India and the world over. Relief India Trust NGO is actively involved in the efforts to minimize and finally eradicate malaria.
Malaria is caused by the plasmodia parasite spread by the female anopheles mosquito. The symptoms include high fever, chills, flu like symptoms and anemia. Left untreated malaria is a killer.
In the fight against malaria Relief India Trust has joined hands with other organizations of its kind, the government and relevant institutions to roll out services with an aim to combat the disease.

Vector control

Vector control is the eradication of disease causing organisms from the environment. Relief India Trust NGO has been in the forefront in the application of vector control methods. The organization distributes treated long lasting bed nets to hospitals, dispensaries, schools and also for pregnant women. These play a big role in reducing mosquito bites. Volunteer workers affiliated to Relief India trust also help with indoor and outdoor spraying with safe insecticides. Spatial repellants and sugar baited traps are also procured and distributed by the trust. This ensures fewer mosquito bites to individuals thus reducing infection. In vector control, it is important to curd the reproduction of the pathogen spreading organisms. Through identification of the breeding ground and the modes of reproduction, female anopheles mosquitoes have been depopulated effectively. This is done by proper waste and dumpsite management and proper drainage in the populated areas.

Diagnosis and proper treatment

Relief India Trust PAN is actively involved in reaching out to the less fortunate that cannot afford medical care. It is during such camps that patients are tested for malaria and effective treatment given. Timely diagnosis and treatment using effective antimalarial drugs reduces deaths. The patients are monitored by social workers to ensure the medication is taken and that it is effective. Pregnant women are checked and given nets to make sure they are protected and thus safeguarding the unborn babies.

Research

Relief India Trust has put an enormous amount of its resources to the research on malaria. The research is done in conjunction with health institutions, local universities, and centers for disease control, the Indian government and the world health organization. This is in a bid to develop new and effective drugs, new preventive measures and also to try and come up with a malaria vaccine that will be a big win for this fight. Medical experts work around the clock in monitoring the disease. They also monitor how effective the drugs work and if the disease develops resistance to these drugs. Testing of the newly developed types and vaccines is also carried out and results monitored.

Rehabilitation

Most of the children who survive malaria suffer long-term mental disability as some strains of the disease like meningitis affect the brain. The disease is cured but the children are left with the scars. It is at this point that the rehabilitation centers run by Relief India Trust step in to address the problem. The centers offer psychological treatment to the children, training them in a bid to make them regain control of their lives. This has been successful as most of the patients are stabilized through proper therapy and treatment.

The Relief India Trust Giving Ability to the Disabled

Disability in its various magnitudes incapacitates its victims rendering them unproductive in the society and life in general. This is not the end of the road however for the victims. Disability is not inability and this is the passion with which Relief India Trust NGO reaches out to the physically or mentally impaired. The organization is categorical in the rolling out of the services to this special, vulnerable and yet all important parts of the society.

Special education

This is a home or school based program that offers free medical consultation for the disabled children. They are made to understand their plight, their special and unique needs, and their place in the society. How they can make their lives better and what they can do to face and overcome their challenges. This doesn't only end at awareness creation. The Relief India Trust PAN also provides assistance for critical case treatment like corrective rehabilitative surgeries, Botox injections, eye surgeries and cochlea implants in various hospitals.

Physiotherapy

The Relief India Trust is committed in giving opportunity to patients to regain control of their lives. Physiotherapy does a lot to the patient by ensuring they regain motor muscular control. They are thereby able to use the parts of the bodies they previously weren't able to use. Pain alleviation is also an important part in physiotherapy. The pain caused by the disorientation of the nervous system is effectively done through physiotherapy. Tolerance to activity is also achieved by the patients through this therapy. As they learn more and more to take control of the organs of the body they adapt to the pain and become more conditioned to rely on themselves. By the sheer ability to lead an active life the patient turn out to be productive and more in control of their lives as they soon learn to turn what they have gained to their advantage.

Occupational therapy

The focus and resolve of the Relief India Trust are promoting health, productivity and the quality of life. Through occupational therapy, the team has been able to teach skills to the patients. These skills applied in life are able to help these individuals to lead more fulfilling lives. Body functionality is also gained by the patients and thus they are able to be self sufficient. Occupational therapy is mainly done through vestibular integration which give the patients control over the balance of their bodies. Symptoms that patient face includes unsteadiness, dizziness, vertigo, hearing and vision problems, and difficulty with concentration and memory. The patient's muscles are also strengthened through therapeutic exercise. Joint and body alignment is also achieved.

Speech and language therapy.

Communication is the most basic and yet fundamental requirement of human beings. For one to merely survive let alone get along well they need to pass and receive information. Relief India Trust gives speech therapy to children and preadolescent children, teaching them to communicate effectively in their respective capacity to do so. The organization in partnership with other organizations such as schools and hospitals helps to teach special sign language to the dumb and mute. The blind are also provided with the necessary equipment to help them learn to read and write while they are given training that gives them better spatial orientation.

The Relief India Trust Gives a Heartbeat to Children

Relief India Trust WIKI

Many children are born with heart problems and others may develop these complications as they grow, this is not limited to children alone. This calls for medical intervention in the form of heart transplants. A heart transplant is the removal of a damaged and diseased heart to replace it with a healthy donor heart. This is a demanding procedure that calls for a number of procedures for the exercise to be successfully conducted. Relief India Trust NGO has rolled out programs that ensure the relevant institutions have an easier time in carrying out this exercise.

Funding.

A heart transplant is an expensive exercise that is elusive for the needy in society. It is also a sad reality that it is the needy that are affected by this condition of heart disease or heart failure.
Relief India Trust works to ensure that children who need this surgery and are not able to afford it are attended to by availing funds for them. The organization also makes it possible for patients to meet citizens with a big heart willing to pay for the surgeries.

Awareness campaigns.

The organization organizes organ donation campaigns in the community for people to go for checkups and for donors to help their loved ones. For heart transplants this means that those who have heart problems can be identified and shortlisted as potential candidates for transplants. The identified candidates are then taken to health care centers for further attention.

Pre surgical preparation.

Once the patient has been brought to the hospital, there are a number of things to be done before surgery. The donor has to be identified in this case, brain dead people or those who have died but the heart is still beating. The patients have to be taken through psychological and physical tests to check their mental health and the ability to use a new heart. The evaluation and psychological preparation also includes pre surgical medication. Immuno- suppressants are administered to the patient to ensure that their immune systems do not reject the new organs. All this is done while the surgical teams remove the donor heart and conduct thorough examination. The Relief India Trust supports all this by availing nurses and medical teams to these hospitals.
During the surgery there are nurses that help the surgeons with the equipment, blood, and the general smooth running of the theatre and the operation procedure. These may also be sourced from the organization's personnel.

After the surgery.

Patients after being successfully operated, need critical attention for them to recover fully and continue with normal life. Medication has to be administered and proper nutrition is important. All this needs committed individuals to monitor the patient and help them where necessary. Workers at Relief India Trust are available in various hospitals to do this. This care extends to homes when the patients are discharged to recover at home.
Therapy may be required by some patients in order for them to respond and adjust to the new hearts. Physiotherapists are engaged in this exercise to avoid any complications on the final stages of the healing process.

It is during the weekends that many of the activities of volunteers take place. Not only the employees who work on a full time basis but even students can become volunteers for Relief India Trust. Working as a volunteer is easy and convenient, being possible from the comfort of home. In order to remain in touch with ground realities, many of the volunteers also engage themselves in field work as well. It is the sheer conviction and effort put in by the volunteers at Relief India Trust that helps in bringing about a positive change in children’s lives.

There is no certificate issued to the volunteers for commitment towards this social work, but the level of satisfaction speaks volumes. However, after completion of one year as a volunteer, a certificate or letter of appreciation is certainly awarded to volunteers if needed, for being engaged in voluntary services at Relief India Trust. There is no salary paid but any kind of expense related to photocopying, traveling etc. is certainly reimbursed. Community Based Organizations ' Place in Relief India Trust

Community based organizations are essentially nonprofit making organizations that operate within the grass root level in the local community. They are also subsets of larger nonprofit making organizations like Relief India Trust NGO.
These are bottom up organizations and are more effective in addressing the needs of the community than the larger charitable organizations. They fall into different categories, including but not limited to; educational; personal help and improvement; social welfare; health; community service and action.
Relief India Trust in its awareness of the important roles played by these organizations, has come all out to partner and work with them to bring about the much needed change in the community. The trust has over the time used these communities based organization as its point of contact and mouthpiece in the community thus ensuring contact with the most remote localities to which these organizations are able to reach. It is also through these organizations that the trust is informed of the real challenges on the ground. With this knowledge Relief India Trust is able to adopt the best strategy for carrying out its operations.
There are a number of ways that Relief India trust has helped these organizations become stable and effective in their diverse causes.

The monetary issue.

It is important to acknowledge the fact that funding is what keeps these organizations up and running. These organizations rely on individual fund raising to get money. Community fundraisers therefore take a people-focused approach to fundraising. Relationship building is a key part of the people-focused approach to make sure people identify with what they are being called upon to do. Relief India trust helps to communicate the important roles played by the organization in the community. This is done through open days, street processions and other such forums.

Non monetary support.

Relief India Trust is also keen to help these organizations carry out effective operations and therefore has to engage in its running. Though the structures may be somehow different, the trust helps to ensure effective and proper management. Some of these community based organizations have formally incorporated constitutions and boards of director called committees while others are much smaller and more informal. Whichever the case, these are closely monitored, the personal is given training and supplied with necessities that will see smoother running of their operations. Relief India Trust has over the time organized seminars for stakeholders to learn more about how best to approach the issues they are addressing.
To be able to ensure more people are reached by the community based organizations, there is a need to form more of them in line with the special needs of particular societies and the unique challenges they face. People are called to forums and informed of how they can come together to address the issues that affect them and this sees the birth of more organizations. The organizations are a sure and sustainable way in this cause as the community is directly involved in the action or operation and whenever monetary and non monetary help is needed. The community is also aware of what affects them and thereby are the best to help alienate the ills that they face.

Relief India Trust Disaster Response Efforts

Accidents and tragedies are inevitable in the course of life; they are beyond human control and intervention. Humans can only do as much as respond to them in a bid to end the suffering caused by these occurrences and to save lives that have been put at risk. These occurrences happen due to natural causes or human causes but once they happen they leave behind destruction, injuries, and loss of lives, and vulnerability to disease and loss of more lives especially among children. In an effort to safeguard the children, Relief India trust has been actively involved in disaster management and response programs all over the country. This is especially where calamities occur with a higher degree of frequency. There are different types of calamities that befall the society and each of these calls for unique solutions.

Disaster preparedness.

Relief India Trust knows the importance of disaster preparedness and the number of lives that can be saved by preparedness in the society. The organization therefore has in its programs helped more people to be prepared in case of such times. The organization has over the time supplied first aid equipment to schools, children's homes and selected homes strategically in the community for the benefit of children. Firefighting equipment procured by the government and other nonprofit making organization have also been distributed to strategic areas in the community to make sure that they are well equipped in the case of such emergencies.

Training.

Relief India Trust Noida is actively involved in the training of disaster response teams. Volunteers come to this organization and are taught how best to respond to different kind of emergencies. They are taken through first aid drills, fire fighting skills, rescue and evacuation of victims. Having this skill is important as more lives can then be saved if the rescuers are well aware of what to do and when to do it. Many lives have been lost by poor handling of victims and this is reduced through disaster response training.

Hands on involvement.

During rescue operations it is important to have large numbers of people to help in the evacuation and the hustle that comes with these missions. Relief India Trust has been there to provide the much needed manpower through its volunteer and medical teams. These help to move the victims to safer locations and give them the necessary attention. The medics handle injuries while first aid is administered to prevent blood loss, asphyxiation and freezing. Volunteers also help carry equipment to those areas that are inaccessible by vehicular transport.
After the disaster has been managed the attention shifts to the victims. Most victims are left homeless, orphaned or physically disadvantaged and they need care and attention. Relief India trust has over the time addressed this issue in as far as rehabilitation is concerned. Children are taken into homes and are helped to reunite with their families. Relief India Trust a Campaign for Women's Rights

Relief India Trust NGO

Women's rights are the entitlements claimed for women and girls of many societies worldwide. These rights may be institutionalized or supported by law and local customs or may all together be ignored and suppressed. They differ from the broader perspective of human rights through claims of an inherent historical and traditional bias of rights by women and girls in favor of men and boys.
Relief India Trust is committed to addressing the issues associated with women's rights which include, but not limited to, the right to; bodily integrity and autonomy; suffrage ( the right to vote); to work; to fair wages; to equal pay; to own property; to education; to hold public office an to have parental and marital rights.
Women in India face many challenges that impede their advancement socially and economically. Discriminatory family codes illiteracy and cultural stigmas are the main challenges. Heightened campaigns by the Relief India Trust has raised pressure on the government to raise the level of dialogue and reform the institutional treatment of women in a rapidly modernizing society. This has seen more of enforcement of laws that address the plight of women in the society. Government is closely monitored to check laxity and ignorance on issues affecting women. The court system has been put in the spotlight over its approach to cases touching women's rights violation. There is a more legal representation for women whose rights have been violated and this ensures justice and transparency.
One of the major elements hampering women's rights progress is the chronically low level of female political representation in parliament. This calls for empowerment of more women to vie for political office. In giving education to the girl child Relief India Trust nurtures leaders for the future by giving them a fighting chance which would be absent if the women were illiterate. The formation of women's lobby groups has been spearheaded by the trust. This ensures that bills in parliament that address women's interests go through to bring about institutional change in the legal framework.
At the grass roots level, Relief India Trust together with other stakeholders are working together with the male community in an effort to elevate women in the society. This is done through giving women to ply roles previously held by men and celebrating their success or confidence building.
The cause for women to realize their rights noble as it is cannot be achieved without them (women) being aware of the rights and what the constitution says about them. Relief India Trust has brought on board legal experts to ensure that women are aware of their rights. Civil education forums have been carried out widely in order make sure a majority of women is involved in the championing for their rights, needless to say that knowledge is power.
Economic empowerment is an effective way of ensuring women gains their rightful place in the community. Women dependent of themselves are less likely to be abused. Relief India Trust offers modes of self employment by distribution of equipment like sewing machines and baking ovens to self help groups formed by women. Rights to property ownership have also been advocated for with significant success over the years.
The main challenges are illiteracy, lack of representation and cultural belief that still hinder the advocacy and the realization of these rights. With the stumbling blocks being changed into stepping stones, the realization of women's rights is not a pipe dream.

Relief India Trust NGO Creating Accountability

Children's rights are violated all over the world and in India particularly. All the while none is brought to book, no-one is held accountable, no-one is concerned and the children are left to their own devices. To be able to make the society a better place, children's rights have to be observed. Relief India Trust in collaboration with other organizations of its kind, institutions and individuals that champion children's rights have joined hands to realize accountability for violation of these rights. The main focus is children of divorce, separation, orphans or born out of wedlock.
Relief India Trust has been able to help in matters pertaining to the Indian family court system and the Indian appeal system as well as prevention of child abduction in India, kidnappings, denial of visitation and access rights, child custody, abandonment and neglect. The court system has been made more effective in handling child right violation cases including sexual abuse, child labor and neglect cases.
The government has been held more accountable in the children's affairs. More laws are being passed that safeguard the child's interests and make the society a safer place for them. The government has also improved its compliance to the child right protocol put forth by the United Nations. The protocol requires the nation to implement the laws put there in and give an annual report on the implementation process. Relief India Trust through its children, rights advocacy programs, has been able to monitor the government concerning these protocols and making sure that they are adhered to.
The Relief India Trust has also made accountable parents who violate their children's rights. It's the right of children to occupy their rightful places in the family, get provision and security. Many parents and guardians have been known to abuse their children sexually, and also involve them in child labor. The organization has been successful in reducing these cases by bringing to trial the perpetrators while sensitizing the community on children's rights. There are more channels put in place for children and other members of the society to come out and report rights violations.
Children spend most of their time in school. This makes the school a place where the rights can be realized and at the same time violated. Violence on children is more rampant in schools by their peers and teachers. Relief India Trust closely monitors schools to make sure that children's rights are not violated. Children must go to school for learning reasons only and any other activity contrary is a violation to their right. Schools have also become a place where children can report cases of abuse and get help as teachers have become more concerned for the plight of children. The teachers have been trained to identify cases of child abuse, make follow up and offer guidance and counseling where needed. It is in these institutions that Relief India Trust has been able to make progress in the championing of children's rights by organizing awareness forums and sensitizing teachers on these rights.
Basic education is the right of every child and Relief India Trust NGO has made sure that every child that has attained school going age is in school. The organization also plays a big role in removing these children from the streets to the schools where they can get an education.

Relief India Trust Alleviates Child Abuse and Exploitation

In the world over and India in particular, large numbers of people live below the poverty line. This makes many desperate to make ends meet and in turn giving greedy and heartless individuals a chance to exploit the needy. The sad reality is that children are the victims of this inhuman treatment.
Relief India Trust has over the time compiled facts about this reality. For instance 17 million children are employed in child labor with 80% of these children in the metropolis of India. 25% of victims of commercial sex exploitation victims are under the age of 18 years. A majority of the child labor is in the agricultural sectors. Young girls are exploited sexually, a big number enrolled in sex cartels. Many die in this practice due to abuse, infection and even murder.
These are the sad realities that prompted the Relief India Trust organization to involve itself in the fight against child labor, abuse and sexual exploitation.

Child abuse

Children are abused in many ways and in various settings in the society. In their very homes they come from and by the very people that are supposed to protect them, at school by the teachers that are supposed to nurture them and intra-child abuse by their peers. To curb this trend, Relief India Trust has put in place programs that help in creating awareness in the society. People are educated on the importance of children and their place in the society. Children in abusive environments are taken to safe houses and children's home to make sure they are safe from sex pests and exploiters. Child labor is reduced when families are able to fend for themselves as children won't be required to chip in to the family budget.

Protecting the girl child

Relief India Trust in partnership with other nonprofit making organization and the government of India have done a lot to protect the girl child against an increasingly abusive society. Girls are given sex education to make them aware of the dangers of indulging in premarital sex, they are also made aware of behavior that is abusive and where to report in case of such scenarios. They are put in schools and homes away from the risky environments. The government has done a lot to create laws to make sure that the girl child is cushioned against exploitation.
Rolling out of sanitary pads has played a role in building the confidence of adolescent girls who require them but can't afford. In doing this, more girls are able to consistently go to school and also have a competitive edge in sports and academics.
Girls who have already been abused are enrolled in special rehabilitation centers. There the organization is able to offer them treatment in case of infections or otherwise. Counseling and guidance is also given to these girls as virtue is imparted to them.
Both male and female children may be abused if left alone in the world. By the availability of social workers in these environments, these cases are significantly reduced. Relief India Trust has been in the fore front in making sure that the social workers are available where they are most needed, to give that watchful eye, a listening ear, and a caring heart to children.
