Underprivileged children living in poverty are the most at risk of not
having a proper education or receiving adequate medical attention.
Without the support of affluent individuals, it is difficult to provide
for their needs. However with the Relief India Trust it is possible for
everyone to help out the organization through donations and sponsorship.
Many of the children with whom the organization works, suffer from a range of afflictions. They may have the serious blood condition called Thalassemia, physical or mental impairment, and a number of other conditions. Usually those who are poor in the community cannot afford the medical attention that is necessary for their children; this is where the Relief India Trust can help.
This organization has assisted poor people from different walks of life – both adult men and women, and young children. Assistance through donations has made a difference in the lives of those with serious conditions. Monetary contributions have helped get individuals medical treatment, food, education, and much more. Donors help to secure the lives of children, and help put them on a good path to working their way out of poverty.
Donations especially help those with the common blood condition called Thalassemia, and have lead to a number of success stories. Thalassemia is a condition which is a direct result of an infant not being able to create regular Hemoglobin. The treatment of such a condition is immediate and regular blood transfusions during the first few weeks directly after the child is brought into the world; not receiving the transfusions frequently leads to death.
Donors can help by sponsoring a child with such a condition. They can help a child to live to see their first birthday, and hopefully their fifth, and then eventually live a normal fulfilling life. Through modern medicine, those born with fatal conditions can survive them – they just need the support of their caring donors.
By giving money, an impoverished child can also attend school. They will receive an education that can help them to leave the conditions they were born into, and live sustainably, without ever having to worry about where their food or medical treatment will come from. This support helps them to become strong-minded, hard working and independent individuals.
Those who do not have money to give do not need to feel as though they are helpless or are left out. Blood donation can be just as important, if not more important than giving money. Blood donation is a way to directly save a person’s life. Blood donation camps are held at medical facilities, and any adult 18 years of age or older can give.
The Relief India Trust needs everyone’s help so they can help others. Young, innocent lives depend on those who are wealthy enough to donate, to give and sponsor as much as they feel they are able to do. Even those who are unable to give money can give an even greater gift of life, through donating blood. Through a group effort, lives can be better and saved.
