Relief India Trust- Top India NGO and Their Services

India is well known for its robust development in the private sector with several NGOs providing different services. The Relief India Trust is one of them. With the various NGOs differing from one another in terms of size, goals and way of operation to achieve the goals, Relief India finds its way in between to help in offering various services to the community. While other NGOs are keener on specific matters facing the community, Relief India Trust is more focused on improving the quality of living. There are several services offered here directly concerned with the main goal of improving the quality of life. Below are some of the major services provided;

• Natural Resource Management
A better plan for resource management is very vital in improving the quality of life. Enhancing better and equal distribution of resources to the marginalized communities is very crucial for any well organized society. That is why the Relief India Trust has stood up to ensure no single community is deprived of this crucial opportunity to gain from the natural resources available.

• Improve quality of education
They say,” a better way to shape the future lies with proper education of the young generation” Relief India Trust has gone out to prepare a number of educational materials for disadvantaged groups in the community such as child labor turned students at different age levels. Marginalized communities are also part of the larger group that doesn’t access education easily. Capacity building, village committees and self help groups are used as the main platforms through which education is penetrated deeper into the villages and disadvantaged individuals given a chance to pursue their careers to shape their future.

• Protection of child rights
Some communities in India take children's rights for granted thus subjecting the children to very harsh conditions. Child labor, forced early marriages for children and the right to access education and vital services such as medication are strictly considered in this Trust. Children are usually considered as weak members of society thus subjecting them to unfavorable conditions.

• Participatory governance
It takes the NGOs a lot of resources to put foot on governance matters. The Relief India Trust is simply the people’s trusted mirror in scrutinizing governance and advising where necessary. Every leader is held accountable for their actions and deeds while in office. It is our responsibility as Relief India to ensure that every corrupt leader is held to task for their misappropriation and any corrupt conduct.

• Hunger relief and other catastrophes
There are major disasters that befall some communities from time to time such as flood and drought. In such communities, life is unbearable and thus many people die due to lack of food. Every individual has a right to live and thus the necessity to safeguard everybody’s life at all costs. Communities stricken by hunger are supplied with food to ensure they are sustained until the time they are capable of feeding themselves.

Just like any other Indian NGO, Relief India Trust participates in a number of activities and networks to ensure a healthy community development more especially in management of natural resources, governance, children and women rights, education, healthcare and many others.
