The beauty of life is living it to your expectations but unfortunately
there many groups of people in the society who are not able to sustain
their daily basic need, leave alone living a comfortable life. This
leaves such groups of people devastated and desperate to do anything to
earn a living, a condition that has seen many people in very poor
working conditions and abject poverty. Some of us may not have gone
through or experienced such circumstances so we may not really believe
this but that is the truth,; there are many people out there suffering
on a daily basis.
In order to extend a helping hand to such unprivileged members in the society, Relief India Trust, a nongovernmental organization was set up to help the needy in society such as children, the poor and physically disabled individuals. Going around the slums in India, you will be surprised with the kind of life such people are going through. This is what prompted us to start this organization as a center for mobilization of the community to help such individuals.
What We Do
• Children health check-up camps
We have a team of medical practitioners whom together we organize for children medical checkups at different parts of the country. We believe that a healthy society is a vibrant society hence the need to organize for such camps where many of the unlucky children stay without any medical help. Assessing and counseling of the patients and their children is the primary role of such camps. After successful checkups, the medical experts then advise the parents on the way forward for their children for instance referring them to specific medical institutions where they will receive medical services.
• Organ donation camps
There are several people out there who need your help. As a team of well wishers, we organize for an organ donation camp at various parts of the country from time to time to ask well wishers donate some organ for the needy members in the society. Blood donation is a major exercise that has been quite successful in most of the camps organized. You may help a life today through your willing donation so take part.
• Facilitating education for all
The Relief India Trust has set up quite a number of schools in different parts of the country to enable child labor turned students get back to school to learn life skills and gain better quality knowledge that may help them secure a better paying job in the future. There are many communities which are marginalized in the society thus making it hard for them to educate their children properly. Through village education committees, self help groups and CBO we have managed to fight for children's rights for many children and by that effectively helped to transform the lives of the helpless children subjected to harsh working conditions.
• Birthday celebration
In promoting better quality of life for the disadvantaged members of society, we help celebrate poor children’s birthdays encouraging them and putting a smile on their faces. Our participation in this activity shows such children how important they are with the family, friends and society at large.
There are many more activities that the Relief India Trust has taken part in to ensure better quality living for everybody.
